Goat cheese from Peymeinade

Our Mediterranean journey begins by the starters. Indulge in our Focaccia French toast gracefully accompanied by the tantalizing flavors of goat cheese from Peymeinade. This exquisite cheese hails from a family goat stable nestled in the picturesque countryside, exuding its authentic and delectable character. Jorge, Isabelle, Guillaume, and Marie lovingly tend to their 65 goats amidst the lush greenery of the quaint town of Peymeinade. In this idyllic natural setting, just an hour away from Nice, the goats are carefully hand-milked daily, yielding one of the finest cheeses produced on the enchanting Côte d’Azur. The St Michel de Menton olive oil

Our delightful journey continues along the road to Menton, a charming azurean town renowned for its luscious lemons.

 

According to legend, as Eve was chased from the Garden, she carried with her a golden fruit. Traveling through the region, she stumbled upon the Baie de Garavan, captivated by its gentle and mild climate, the breathtaking beauty of the landscape, and the lush vegetation, reminiscent of her divine paradise. It was in this very place that she chose to bury her golden fruit, giving birth to the earthly paradise now known as Menton. Ever since, Menton’s lemons have delighted the taste buds of its inhabitants with their exquisitely perfumed flavors.

This sun-kissed citrus is honored in our Mediterranean garden, adorned with century-old lemon trees. It was thus highly important for us to make you discover its unique taste. And what better way to do so than through olive oil, a quintessential condiment of Mediterranean cuisine?

The Mentonais olive oil producer, St Michel, has passed down its artisanal savoir-faire through four generations, crafting local olive oils and creating new fragrance subtly flavored with the famous lemon. These oils are embraced by renowned Chefs such as Mauro Colagreco and Patrick Raingeard. At Le Patio, you will discover this very special oil, a true Dolce Vita delicacy, to be savored on a simple piece of bread, unveiling its full complexity, or drizzled gently to enhance the flavors of your dish.

As the sunrays grace our hidden sanctuary, a moment of refreshment becomes a welcomed delight. Once again, our enchanting region unveils a trove of treasures. We set out to reinvent the classic beer, by giving it the vibrant colors of Provence. With blending a little touch of rosemary, a traditional herb from the South of France, we create a truly distinctive taste. With the collaboration of the Berroise Brewery, located in the small town of Berre les Alpes, just 25 km (15 miles) away from Nice, our vision finally came to reality, and we are thrilled to propose you an exclusive beer, created especially for Le Patio. Savoring it on our terrace, shaded by the graceful lemon trees and serenaded by the harmonious melodies of birds song, is an unparalleled pleasure. The perfect refresher on this hot summer days!
